Mojo Money

THE CHALLENGE

Personal finance and wealth management apps often fall into two visual traps: overly clinical corporate blue setups or sterile, minimalist charts that feel distant. Mojo Money set out to disrupt that landscape by making money management feel accessible, engaging, and less intimidating for everyday users. As an exploratory brand identity project prior to launch, the challenge was to establish a high energy visual system that balanced financial credibility with a warm, playful digital experience.

THE STRATEGIC & CURATIVE PROCESS

Designing for an unreleased concept gave me total creative freedom to push traditional fintech design boundaries while establishing a scalable identity framework:

  • Playful Visual Direction: I moved away from dry financial tropes, developing a vibrant, energetic visual identity centred on optimistic typography, expressive colour pairings, and approachable graphic shapes designed to make money management feel rewarding rather than stressful.

  • UI-Ready Brand System: I curated a flexible set of brand components optimised for a mobile interface focusing on clear typographic hierarchies, intuitive colour coded categories, and tactile UI details that brought character to everyday screens.

  • Concept Refinement & Restraint: Even within a playful visual language, restraint was key. I ensured the brand retain its commercial utility, balancing punchy visual touches with clean, uncluttered spaces so essential financial data remained readable at a glance.

THE IMPACT

While the app ultimately remained an unreleased concept, the project serves as a compelling exploration of human centric fintech design. It showcased how strategic playfulness, bold colour curation, and thoughtful UI branding can transform a traditionally dry subject into an inviting, memorable user experience.
