The Fathering Project
THE CHALLENGE
As a prominent national NGO, The Fathering Project delivers vital research, community programs, and evidence based resources to support fathers and family units across Australia. Translating dense academic data, sensitive social research, and complex policy frameworks into accessible, emotionally resonant print materials. Over a multi-year partnership, the organisation needed a creative strategist who could progressively modernise their visual identity, elevate their flagship research reports for corporate and government stakeholders, and maintain absolute brand consistency across an ever expanding library of physical collateral.
THE STRATEGIC & CURATIVE PROCESS
Having partnered with The Fathering Project team over the past three years, my role evolved from external designer to trusted brand custodian. This ongoing relationship allowed us to move beyond basic layout execution and systematically elevate their entire design ecosystem:
Brand Redevelopment & Evolution: Over time, I spearheaded the redevelopment of their brand identity. We refined their visual guidelines, color palette, and typographic scale to ensure every touchpoint felt approachable for everyday families yet authoritative enough for government panels and corporate sponsors.
Editorial Design for Profound Reports: I structured and designed their high impact publication pieces, transforming dense data sets, key statistical findings, and human stories into beautifully balanced, high-level report layouts. Through thoughtful curation of visual hierarchy, custom infographics, and impactful photography, we ensured their core research commanded attention at the highest levels.
Long-Term Asset Curation: Beyond one-off campaigns, I continue to oversee the rollout of their multi-channel collateral, from event displays and educational workbooks to digital toolkits. Ensuring every piece serves their broader mission with integrity and warmth.
THE IMPACT
Moov Modular arrived at the expo with an authentic, high end brand environment. The unified suite of print and exhibition collateral gave them total confidence on the floor, allowing them to engage commercial and sector leads with materials that accurately reflected both the quality of their builds and the vital community housing solutions they deliver.
